Food Scriptions have arrived! Here you will find Dietary Prescription recommendations that are helpful for specific disorders. These recommendations are not intended to replace any medical care you are currently under. Disorders A - C


Acne/Skin disorders:
Food: apples, cabbage, cauliflower, cucumber, carrots, leafy greens, primrose oil
Seasonings: Basil
Nutrients:  Zinc A.G.™ | Metagenics, Inc.
Avoid: alcohol, caffeine, chocolate, cocoa, dairy products, fried foods, iodized salt, pineapples, saturated fats, sea vegetables, soft drinks, all forms of sugar
OTHER: A juice fast is very beneficial for the skin, which is the body's largest organ.

 

Allergies/Hay Fever:
Foods: Lemons
Nutrients: Sinuplex® | Metagenics, Inc.  and Sinus Chi
Avoid: Any foods known to cause a reactions

 

Anal Itching or Burning

Foods: Potato peel broth made by simmering the skin of 3 potatoes in 2 quarts of filtered water for 30 minutes (strain out the peelings before drinking it, and umeboshi plums (eat two plums every 4 hours for 2 days).

OTHER: Investigate food allergies and omit those foods from your diet. Use The Acid and Alkaline self-test from my June 27th, 2021 Newsletter if hyperacidity is a problem.

 

Anxiety disorders

Food: apricots, asparagus, avocados, bananas, broccoli, blackstrap molasses, brewers yeast, brown rice, dried fruits, figs, fish, garlic, leafy greens, legumes, raw nuts and seeds, reishi mushroom, soy foods, whole grains, 

Seasonings: cayenne pepper

Nutrients: MetaRelax | Metagenics, Inc.  and  Relaxin

Avoid: baking powder, canned foods and beverages, cheese chocolate, corn, dairy products, eggs, foods containing additives, fried, junk and processed foods, saturated fats, tap water, wheat

OTHER: Eat a diet high in complex carbohydrates. When you feel nervous, consume more complex carbohydrates  

 

Arthritis

Foods:  apples, black cherries, celeriac, dandelion greens, fish oil, flaxseed oil, garlic, kelp, leafy greens, lemons, papaya, parsley, pineapple, watercress

Seasonings: cayenne pepper, ginger root, turmeric

Nutrients:  ChondroCare® | Metagenics, Inc. 

Avoid: caffeine, citrus fruits (accept lemon), dairy products, eggplant, eggs, fried foods, peppers, potatoes, processed foods, red meat, saturated fats, cooked or juiced spinach, sugar, tobacco, tomatoes

 

Asthma/Bronchitis/Emphysema

Foods: apples, all leafy greens, carrots, cranberries, flaxseed oil, parsley, rutabaga, turnips

Seasonings: cayenne pepper, fennel seed, fenugreek, ginger root, peppermint leaf

Avoid: animal fats, caffeine, dairy products, food additives; especially BHA, FD&C yellow #5 dye, and MSG, gas producing foods such as beans, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, pork, poultry, processed foods, red meat, salt, saturated fats, sugar, tobacco and smoke, white flour products

OTHER: Follow a hypoglycemic diet. Investigate allergies and avoid allergens, including allergenic foods

 

Attention deficit disorder (ADD); Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

Foods: beans and legumes, borage oil, flaxseed oil or primrose oil, all fresh fruits (not fruit juices), all fresh veggies, herring, salmon, tuna, oats, rice, whole grains (except corn and wheat)

Nutrients: Trancor® | Metagenics, Inc.  or  Attention Deficit Mild or Severe Drops

Avoid: all artificial colorings, flavorings, and sweeteners, apple cider vinegar, carbonated beverages, chocolate, corn, hot dogs, luncheon meats, margarine, salt, soy sauce, sausage, tea

OTHER: Investigate food allergies and allergenic foods, (chocolate, dairy products, eggs, oranges, peanuts, and wheat are common culprits), choose complex carbohydrates over starches 

 

Back Pain (lower)

Foods: alfalfa sprouts

Nutrients: boron, calcium, magnesium, manganese, vitamin c, zinc

OTHER: Use periodic cleansing enemas to relieve pressure and pain

 

Bladder Infections/urinary burning, itching, frequency, urgency

Food: collards, cranberries, cranberry juice (unsweetened), garlic, parsley, pineapple juice (unsweetened), rose hips, watermelon

Nutrients:  Urinary Tract Drops  and/or Kidney Chi

Avoid: alcohol, caffeine, chocolate, citrus fruit, fats, pepper, processed foods, spicy foods, sugar

OTHER: Limit your consumption of dairy products, red meat, and shellfish. If you have a bladder infection, drink at least 8 oz glass of water every hour. Use acidophilus and take hot sitz baths. Breast Soreness/Fibrocystic breasts

Nutrients:  Myomin and possibly Angiostop 

Avoid: Caffeine, colas, chocolate, coffee

OTHER: Eat a low fat high fiber diet

 

Bruising (frequently or easily)

Foods:  Beans, cheese, dark leafy greens, egg yolks, garlic, kelp, lemons, oats, peas, whole wheat

Nutrients: Calendula Combination and Bone Marrow Drops

 

Cancer and HIV/AIDS

Foods: Beans and legumes, blueberries, carrots, cherries, cruciferous vegetables, flaxseeds, garlic, kelp. all leafy greens, maitake, reishi and shiitake mushrooms, milllet, papaya, peaches, red grapes, vegetables, soy foods, wheatgrass

Seasonings: Ginger root

Nutrients: Maitake Mushroom, Reishi Mushroom, Shiitake Mushroom, Angiostop, Myomin. Other nutrients are available, please email us.

Avoid: alcohol, animal protein, caffeine, dairy products, all saturated and hydrogenated oils, peanuts, processed foods, salt, salt cured, smoked, or nitrate-cured meats, sugar, tobacco

OTHER: Drink plenty of water (steamed-distilled only) and juices (unsweetened). Eat a diet of soft foods

 

Candidiasis

Foods: Garlic, leafy greens, onions, rutabaga, spirulina, turnips, wheatgrass, live culture yogurt (with no form of sugar added)

Nutrients: 

Avoid: Alcohol, all cheeses, butter, chocolate, citrus and dried fruits, fermented foods, all fruit juices, all forms of gluten, ham, honey, mushrooms, nuts, pickles soy and tamari sauces, all forms of sugar, yeast products

Other: Eat a diet high in complex carbohydrates, protein and fiber

 

Canker Sores

Foods: Garlic, onions

Nutrients:

Avoid while unhealed: Acidic fruits, and other acidic foods, fish, meats and hard to chew foods

Cardiovascular Disease

Foods: Canola oil, carrots, eggplant, fish oils, flaxseed oil, flaxseeds, garlic, green tea, all leafy greens, lecithin, olive oil, onions, parsley, potato skins, red grapes, shiitake mushrooms, soybeans, sunflower seeds, wheat germ.

Seasonings: Cayenne pepper, fenugreek, ginger root

Nutrients:

Avoid: Alcohol, all fats, baking soda, butter, caffeine, canned vegetables, coconut oil, dairy products, diet sodas, fried foods, meat tenderizers, mold inhibitors, MSG, palm oil, preservatives, processed foods, red meat, refined foods, salt soft drinks, softened or tap water, spicy foods, sugar, tobacco,  white flour products


Disorders D - F


Depression

Foods: Salmon and Turkey

Nutrients:

Avoid: Alcohol, fried and junk foods, allergenic foods, baker's and brewers yeast, caffeine, cheese, chocolate, dairy products, herring, meat tenderizers, phenylalanine, saturated fats and oils, soy sauce, all forms of sugar, yeast extracts

 

Diabetes

Foods: Brewers yeast

Nutrients:

Avoid: Caffeine, canned foods, saturated and hydrogenated fats and oils, fish oil capsules, fried and processed foods, salt, soft drinks, all forms of sugar, white flour products

Other: Eat a diet that is high in fiber and complex carbohydrates and low in protein (less than 40 grams of protein a day). And keep your weight down.

 

Diarrhea

Foods: Apples, bananas, black berries, well cooked brown rice, carrot juice, carob, leafy greens, papaya.

Seasoning: Fennel seed 

Nutrients: UltraFlora BiomePro

Avoid: Barley, oats, rye, wheat, fats, nuts, seeds, alcohol, apple juice, caffeine, dairy products, low fat sourced products (yogurt), processed foods, spicy foods

Other: Drink plenty of quality water and fresh juices. Avoid all foods except for those listed for 24 hours. If diarrhea persists, investigate food allergies.
